We are looking for an experienced Engine Overhaul & Assembly Technician with strong hands-on experience in diesel engine overhauling, rebuilding, assembly/disassembly and Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDI) systems.
The technician will be responsible for complete engine teardown, inspection, repair, rebuilding and final testing while ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complete diesel engine overhauling independently, from initial inspection through final testing.
- Carry out engine disassembly, cleaning and inspection of components.
- Measure engine parts for wear and determine whether components require reuse or replacement.
- Perform engine assembly/rebuilding according to specified torque, clearances and engineering/service requirements.
- Diagnose, calibrate and repair CRDI/Common Rail fuel systems, including high-pressure fuel pumps and injectors.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic faults using computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct post-assembly engine testing/run-ups to verify performance and identify leaks or other issues.
- Maintain accurate records of parts replaced, measurements taken and maintenance performed.
- Maintain tools, workspace and precision measuring instruments in proper condition.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification/qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Automotive Technology or related field is preferred.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in engine rebuilding, heavy-duty mechanics or diesel engine overhauling.
- Strong practical knowledge of CRDI / Common Rail fuel systems.
- Experience with common rail systems such as Bosch, Delphi or Denso.
- Solid hands-on skills with hand tools, pneumatic tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of micrometers, dial indicators and calipers.
- Ability to read and understand service manuals, hydraulic schematics and electrical diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precision engine assembly.
