Position: Executive – Freight Forwarding Operations

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Executive to manage and coordinate sea freight export/import operations from Chennai. The candidate should have good knowledge of shipping documentation, coordination with shipping lines, customers, CHA, transporters, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end sea freight forwarding operations for import/export shipments.

- Coordinate with shipping lines, customers, CHA, transporters, and overseas agents.

- Handle booking, shipment tracking, vessel schedules, and documentation.

- Prepare and verify shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, Shipping Bill, invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices.

- Coordinate for container movement, stuffing, clearance, and timely shipment delivery.

- Follow up on vessel schedules, cut-off dates, ETD/ETA, and shipment status.

- Ensure timely submission of documentation and accurate data entry.

- Resolve operational issues and coordinate with relevant teams for smooth shipment movement.





- Maintain proper shipment records and update customers regularly.

- Coordinate with internal sales, documentation, accounts, and customer service teams.

- Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable shipping regulations.

RequirementsCandidate Requirements

Graduate in any discipline; qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Trade will be an advantage.
2–5 years of experience in sea freight forwarding operations.
Good understanding of import/export procedures and shipping documentation.
Knowledge of shipping lines, container operations, port procedures, and freight forwarding processes.
Good communication, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and email communication.
Candidates with experience in Chennai port/sea freight operations will be preferred.
