About The Role

Guardian of Childhood is looking for a confident, responsible, and engaging Event Moderator to support the Guardian African Youth Assembly.

The selected moderator will help ensure that the assembly runs smoothly, professionally, and on time while creating a welcoming environment for speakers and participants.

Responsibilities

- Welcome participants and speakers at the beginning of the assembly




- Introduce speakers and sessions
- Manage transitions between different segments of the event
- Keep the program running according to the schedule
- Monitor participant questions and the event chat
- Coordinate with speakers during the event
- Maintain a respectful and inclusive environment
- Assist the organizing team with basic event coordination when required

Requirements

- Strong communication and public-speaking skills
- Comfortable speaking in front of an online audience
- Confident and professional communication style
- Good time management and ability to follow an event schedule
- Responsible and punctual
- Previous moderation or event experience is an advantage, but not required
