Job Title: SDET – Playwright Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer / SDET with 3–6 years of hands-on experience in software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Playwright, API Testing, AWS, and React.

Prior experience working with HR platforms, HRMS, HCM, Payroll, Recruitment, Employee Management, or related HR applications is highly preferred.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing automated tests, validating web applications and APIs, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.

· Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios.

· Perform API testing for REST APIs and validate requests, responses, status codes, headers, authentication, and business logic.

· Test and validate React-based web applications across different browsers and environments.

· Develop reusable and maintainable automation frameworks and test utilities.

· Analyze automation test failures and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes.

· Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve defects.

· Execute regression testing for new features, enhancements, and production releases.

· Validate application workflows and business rules across different modules.

· Work with applications deployed on AWS and support testing across cloud-based environments.





· Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

· Create and maintain test cases, test data, test scenarios, and automation documentation.

· Log, track, and manage defects through the complete defect lifecycle.

· Participate in requirement analysis and identify potential quality risks early in the development lifecycle.

· Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other QA engineers.

· Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

· 3–6 years of experience in Software Testing, QA Automation, or SDET roles.

· Solid hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation.

· Good experience in API Testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.

· Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

· Experience testing React-based web applications.

· Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.

· Working knowledge of AWS and cloud-based application environments.

· Experience with Git and version control systems.

· Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect management, and Agile methodologies.

· Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.





HR Platform Experience

Experience testing HR/HRMS/HCM platforms is highly preferred.

Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will be an advantage:

· Leave and attendance management

· Benefits administration

The candidate should be comfortable understanding complex HR business workflows, rules, approvals, and role-based access scenarios and translating them into effective test cases and automation scenarios.

Good to Have

· Experience with TypeScript-based Playwright frameworks.

· Experience integrating automated tests with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar CI/CD tools.

· Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, or similar.

· Knowledge of SQL/database testing.

· Experience with Docker and containerized test environments.

· Knowledge of microservices and REST-based architectures.

· Experience with performance testing or security testing.

- · Experience working in a product-based or SaaS environment.

Location: Hyderabad only. Candidates should be willing to work from the Pune office.

NOTE: 2nd and the Final technical round must be taken F2F from Hyderabad office.
