URGENT HIRING – CONSULTANT NEUROSURGEON

POSITION

Consultant Neurosurgeon

QUALIFICATION

• MBBS

• MS / DNB General Surgery

• MCh / DNB Neurosurgery

• Valid NMC / Maharashtra Medical Council Registration

EXPERIENCE

• Experienced Neurosurgeon preferred

• Candidates with strong independent surgical and emergency neurosurgical experience will be given preference

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct Neurosurgery OPD consultations and manage IPD patients

• Diagnose and manage neurological and neurosurgical conditions

• Evaluate and treat head injuries, brain and spinal disorders, intracranial lesions and other neurosurgical conditions

• Manage neurosurgical emergencies including head trauma, intracranial bleeding and acute neurological deterioration

• Perform neurosurgical procedures and surgeries as per expertise and hospital privileges

• Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative neurosurgical care

• Monitor surgical patients and manage post-operative complications

• Coordinate with Neurologists, Intensivists, Anaesthesiologists, Radiologists and other specialists

• Review and correlate CT, MRI and other relevant investigations

• Provide timely intervention and referral for critical neurological cases





• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, risks and follow-up

• Maintain accurate clinical records, operative notes and discharge summaries

• Participate in emergency/on-call duties as per hospital requirements

• Follow NABH, infection-control and patient-safety protocols

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong clinical and surgical expertise in Neurosurgery

• Excellent emergency neurosurgical decision-making

• Positive experience in cranial and/or spinal procedures

• Strong trauma and critical-care coordination skills

• Ability to independently manage complex neurosurgical cases

• Excellent patient counselling and communication

• Professional and patient-centric approach
