To deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that promote the holistic development of children in alignment with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework. The EYP teacher fosters curiosity, independence, and a love for learning in young students aged 3 to 6.
Key Responsibilities:Curriculum & Planning

Design and implement age-appropriate, inquiry-driven units of inquiry in line with the IB PYP.

Integrate key transdisciplinary themes, learner profiles, and ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills into daily lessons.

Use a play-based, constructivist approach to facilitate meaningful learning experiences.

Plan collaboratively with grade-level and subject teachers to ensure curriculum coherence.
Instruction & Classroom Management
-
Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning setting.

Use differentiated instruction strategies to meet varied learning needs and styles.
-
Foster development in language, math, fine/gross motor skills, and social-emotional learning.

Encourage agency by involving students in decision-making and goal-setting.
Assessment & Documentation

Use formative and summative assessments to track and support student learning.

Maintain student portfolios and learning journals as part of the documentation process.

Provide timely feedback to students and parents, using assessment data to drive instruction.

Participate in student-led conferences, report writing, and parent meetings.
Professional Development

Engage in continuous professional learning in IB philosophy and early childhood best practices.

Attend staff meetings, PD sessions, and IB training as required.
School Community Engagement

Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support student well-being.

Contribute to school-wide initiatives, events, and collaborative planning.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education / Primary Education (mandatory)

B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)

IB PYP training/certification (preferred)

Minimum 2 years of experience in an IB or international curriculum (preferred)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Tech-savvy with experience using digital tools to support learning
