We are having an urgent opening for :AGM -Sourcing " with one of our well know client based in Pune.

Role & responsibilities :

To lead strategic sourcing and supplier-development initiatives with a strong focus on alternate sourcing, localisation, cost competitiveness, supply-chain resilience and development of a diversified global supplier base. The role requires substantial experience in sourcing engineered components and proven capability in developing suppliers in China and other international markets. Key Responsibilities Lead strategic sourcing and supplier-development activities for hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, fabricated, machined and other engineering components. Identify and develop alternate sources for critical, high-value and single-source components. Drive localisation, value engineering, supplier consolidation and cost-optimisation initiatives. Lead techno-commercial evaluation, negotiations and long-term commercial arrangements with domestic and international suppliers. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with leading component and technology suppliers.



Evaluate suppliers on manufacturing capability, quality systems, capacity, commercial competitiveness, lead time and supply reliability.

China & Global Sourcing :

Lead initiatives to substantially expand and diversify the supplier base in China and other competitive global manufacturing markets. Identify and develop technically capable Chinese manufacturers for engineering components and assemblies.

Preferred candidate profile :

Candidate Profile Minimum 20 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development or procurement within an engineering/manufacturing environment. Solid technical and commercial understanding of engineered components. Demonstrated experience in supplier development, localisation, alternate sourcing and cost optimisation. Proven hands-on sourcing experience in China, preferably with an established network of credible manufacturers and suppliers.
