Job Title: Supply Base Manager

Role Overview:

The Supply Base Manager is responsible for developing and managing a high-performing supplier and

logistics network to support business objectives. This role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier relationship

management, and performance optimization across 3PL partners, transporters, and warehouse operations.

The position acts as a key link between procurement, operations, logistics, and external partners to ensure

cost efficiency, service excellence, and supply chain reliability. It also drives continuous improvement

initiatives, monitors supplier KPIs, and ensures compliance with organizational and regulatory standards

while optimizing end-to-end logistics performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute supply base strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure long-term collaboration and performance improvement.
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs (quality, delivery).
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and value engineering projects.
- Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, planning, customer service, finance, Dispatches,

quality, operations).

- Knowledge of supply chain risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking with execution focus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools.
- Supplier on-time delivery performance.
- Supplier lead time improvement.

- Willingness to travel for supplier visits.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for 3PL partners (transport, warehousing,



distribution).
- Manage relationships with key 3PL partners to ensure consistent service delivery and continuous

improvement.

- Define and track supplier KPIs such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), transit time, cost per shipment, and

damage rates.

- Solid understanding of 3PL operations, freight management, and warehousing.
- Knowledge of transportation modes (air, sea) and network optimization.
- Supplier relationship management and stakeholder coordination.

Experience & Qualification:

- Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration (BBA),

Commerce (B. Com), or a related field

- 7 – 9 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or Vendor Management
- Proven experience in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), 3PL management, and logistics

operations

- Strong exposure to freight management, transportation (air, sea), warehousing, and distribution

networks

- Experience in supplier performance monitoring, KPI management (OTIF, lead time, cost), and

continuous improvement initiatives

- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and procurement tools
