Job Summary

Security Brigade is hiring a Tech Lead to own technical operations for ShadowMap, our attack surface management platform. ShadowMap unifies continuous external scanning, vendor risk management, third-party risk workflow, dark-web monitoring, scoring, and remediation in one platform - currently in production with global enterprise customers including via partners like NTT, Softcell, and Noventiq.

You will lead the day-to-day engineering team across PHP and Python development, drive the platform roadmap aligned to industry trends and customer demand, and serve as the technical anchor between development, managed services, and customer engineering teams.

Responsibilities

- Manage and evolve the ShadowMap roadmap, aligning it to industry trends and customer requirements
- Lead day-to-day operations of the PHP and Python development teams; coordinate stakeholders and unblock execution
- Serve as the first line of escalation for technical queries from the managed services team and the customer engineering teams
- Manage and monitor operational platforms (GitLab, Jenkins, production environments); ensure smooth day-to-day operations for ShadowMap customers
- Run daily stand-ups; ensure timely execution of new features and roadmap commitments
- Own technical leadership and mentorship for the engineering team
- Personally design, develop, and review scalable, well-tested code
- Drive code-review discipline and engineering-quality standards
- Communicate directly with customers - gather requirements, present technical solutions, manage expectations




- Resolve complex technical issues and design innovative solutions
- Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation
- Foster a collaborative environment with knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement
- Maintain proper documentation of systems, code, and operational processes

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of full-stack software development with robust PHP and / or Python (hands-on with at least one is mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience leading a development team end-to-end through the SDLC
- Strong client-facing experience - translating technical requirements into actionable engineering plans and managing customer expectations
- Proficient with PHP frameworks (Laravel / Symfony) and / or Python frameworks (Django / Flask)
- Strong working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), APIs, and web services
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud and containerisation familiarity (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) a strong plus
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
