Role Description:
The IT Product Manager combines strong insurance domain knowledge with technical understanding to assess system impacts for new requirements and ensure their effective translation into deliverable solutions. Acting as a key interface between business and engineering, they drive requirement clarity, stakeholder alignment, and seamless coordination across teams to support successful product delivery.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Drive and facilitate stakeholder interactions with business and technical teams to ensure clear understanding and alignment of requirements
- Lead requirement clarification and backlog refinement, translating business needs into well-defined, technically feasible PBIs
- Collaborate with Legal Entities (LEs) to ensure implementation of policies and procedures, proactively identifying gaps and driving their timely closure
- Enable stakeholder alignment and sign-offs by ensuring availability of accurate inputs, evidence, and requirement traceability
- Prepare and present insightful materials (analysis, summaries, dashboards, and presentations) for program stakeholders and leadership
- Own delivery communication and reporting, ensuring transparency on progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve planning, dependency, and execution challenges proactively
- Manage and mitigate risks and issues, ensuring effective resolution strategies and escalation where required
- Drive delivery execution, including planning, tracking milestones, and ensuring alignment with timelines and objectives
- Support and enforce governance and compliance in line with ERGO IT Delivery framework
- Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) to ensure effective Agile execution
- Work closely with Tech Leads and domain experts to ensure system impacts, dependencies, and technical considerations are identified early and addressed
Key Competencies & Skills required
Technical:
- Product & Delivery Management:
Strong understanding of Agile delivery with the ability to manage backlog, prioritization, and end-to-end execution, including planning, tracking, and reporting
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC):
Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile (Scrum) and traditional models, with practical experience in applying them in delivery environments
- Agile & Scrum Execution:
Hands-on experience in leading Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) and ensuring effective sprint execution and backlog readiness
- Development Awareness:
Hands-on experience or strong practical exposure to .NET (Framework/Core), C#, and SQL, with the ability to think from a developers perspective, understand implementation constraints, and actively contribute to technical discussions and solutioning
- Data & Tooling Proficiency:
Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, queries, dashboards, and reporting; familiarity with Jira, Confluence, BMC tools, and MS Office suite
- Data & Dependency Analysis:
Ability to perform data reconciliation and analysis across tools (e.g., ADO, LeanIX, and other sources) to ensure consistency, traceability, and reporting accuracy
- Risk & Issue Management:
Capability to identify technical and delivery risks, analyze dependencies, and drive mitigation strategies proactively
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
Strong ability to engage with business, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders, build alignment, and drive decisions
Nice to have:
- Exposure to insurance domain platforms / regulatory compliance frameworks
- Prior experience transitioning from development or technical roles into product/delivery positions

Previous Experience & Qualifications
Education/Qualification:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Insurance.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Proven track record (3+ years) in delivering IT products and/or projects, preferably in complex enterprise environments
- Experience in financial, regulatory, or CIO-domain initiatives, particularly within group-wide systems and integrations
- Strong understanding of insurance domain processes and system landscapes
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including business, finance, and technology stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technically viable solutions and drive them through to delivery
