Role Overview - We are looking for an experienced AJO consultant with proven hands-on implementation background. This role is for candidates who have already delivered AJO and AEP solutions for enterprise customers and are ready to lead engagements independently. We hire for deep platform expertise, a client-first mindset, strong technical delivery capability, and the ability to advise customers with confidence across the full implementation lifecycle.

Must-Have Skills

• Adobe Journey Optimizer implementation: Hands-on experience delivering AJO solutions including journey orchestration, event triggers, conditions, wait logic, automations, custom actions, messages, offer decisioning, and channel configurations across email, push, SMS, in-app, and web.

• Adobe Experience Platform expertise: Deep working knowledge of AEP services including Real-Time Customer Profile, Identity Service, XDM schema design, source connectors, datasets, audience segmentation (rule-based and AI/ML), and destination configuration.

• Data modelling and XDM: Solid ability to design and implement Experience Data Model (XDM) schemas for multi-channel marketing use cases. Ability to map source-system fields to XDM, define identity namespaces, and model profile and experience event data correctly.

• SQL and data querying: Strong SQL proficiency for querying datasets, writing complex joins and aggregates, applying filter conditions, transforming data, and working within AEP Data Distiller or similar query environments.

• API development and integration:



Hands-on experience integrating with AEP and AJO REST APIs, designing custom actions, configuring webhooks, working with JSON payloads, managing OAuth or IMS authentication, and validating with Postman or similar tooling.

• JavaScript and scripting: Proficiency in JavaScript for personalization logic, API calls, and custom scripting within AJO and AEP. Comfort with HTML and CSS for email and web experience rendering.

• Segmentation and audience design: Practical experience creating and validating rule-based segments, computed attributes, AI/ML-powered audiences, and multi-channel activation strategies grounded in profile and behavioural data.

• Customer communication and advisory: Ability to engage enterprise customers independently, articulate solution recommendations clearly, lead discovery workshops, and present technical designs to both technical and business stakeholders with confidence.

• Basic AI and agentic skills: Working understanding of AI-assisted delivery, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, and responsible use of AI tools to improve discovery, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation productivity.

• AJO certifications: Relevant Adobe Journey Optimizer certifications or demonstrable equivalent hands-on expertise, with willingness to maintain current certification status as the platform evolves.

• End-to-end delivery ownership: Demonstrated ability to own AJO/AEP workstreams from requirements gathering through go-live, including documentation, testing, and post-launch support, with limited supervision.
