Job description: AI Engineer

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior AI Engineer will design, build, deploy, and scale generative AI solutions and intelligent agents that automate Finance processes, improve decision-making, and generate actionable business insights.

In this role, you will develop reusable and well-governed AI capabilities, including the user interfaces, APIs, workflows, and integrations required to operate them in production, by ensuring that solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, token-efficient, maintainable, and aligned with responsible AI standards.

Key Accountabilities

- Design, build, test, deploy, and support production-grade generative AI applications and agents for Finance use cases.
- Develop secure and responsive front-end applications using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Build backend services, APIs, agent tools, and data-processing components using Python and Java.
- Integrate AI applications with Finance platforms, enterprise data sources, databases, APIs, and cloud services.
- Implement agent capabilities such as prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, tool and function calling, workflow orchestration, memory, and multi-agent collaboration.
- Reuse consistent agent design patterns, shared components, development standards, and reference architectures to reduce duplication and improve solution quality.
- Design effective prompts, context-management approaches, caching strategies, and model-routing patterns to optimize latency, token consumption, and operating cost.
- Build and deploy cloud-native AI solutions using AWS services
- Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, security controls, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop workflows to support reliable and responsible AI.
- Apply secure engineering practices to protect confidential and sensitive Finance data.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, reusable templates, development standards, deployment guides, and operational procedures.




- Independently resolve moderately complex technical challenges and escalate high-risk or highly complex issues when required.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to building a strong engineering culture around AI, cloud, software development, and responsible innovation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Five or more years of software engineering, application development, data engineering, or AI engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience building generative AI applications or agents using:
- Prompt engineering
- Retrieval-augmented generation
- Tool or function calling
- Structured outputs
- Agent workflows

- Strong proficiency in Python for AI development, APIs, data processing, and backend services.
- Hands-on experience with React.js and JavaScript for developing modern web-based user interfaces.
- Experience developing backend services or enterprise applications using Java.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating applications with enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-based application deployment.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, including version control, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, debugging, and documentation.
- Experience working with relational databases, SQL, and structured or unstructured data sources.

Preferred Qualifications





- Understanding of Finance processes such as FP&A;, Record to Report, financial reporting, forecasting, planning, reconciliation, accounting, or controls.
- Hands-on experience deploying LLM-powered applications and agents into production.
- Experience with agent frameworks and orchestration technologies such as:
- LangChain
- LangGraph
- Model Context Protocol
- Function calling
- Multi-agent frameworks

- Experience with major LLM and AI platforms, including:

- OpenAI
- Anthropic Claude
- Amazon Bedrock
- Snowflake Cortex

- Experience building full-stack AI applications using React.js, Python APIs, and cloud-native services.
- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar application frameworks.
- Knowledge of vector databases, semantic search, embeddings, chunking strategies, metadata filtering, and hybrid retrieval.
- Experience implementing agent evaluation, observability, prompt tracing, model monitoring, and automated regression testing.
- Understanding of AI guardrails, data privacy, application security, access control, and responsible AI practices.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and automated deployment pipelines.
- Ability to translate complex Finance requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and collaboration skills.
