Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Tooling

- Perform complete setup and changeover of cold forging machines for nut and bolt

production.

- Install, align, and adjust dies, punches, tooling, cut-off knives, and accessories.
- Ensure proper machine settings before production start-up.
- Carry out first-piece approval in coordination with the Quality team.

- Production Support
- • Achieve targeted production output with minimum rejection.
- • Monitor machine performance during production and make necessary process
- adjustments.
- • Troubleshoot tooling and machine-related issues to minimize downtime.
- • Support operators in maintaining reliable production.

- Quality Control
- • Ensure products conform to drawing specifications and customer requirements.
- • Monitor critical dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper,
- Micrometer, Thread Gauges, Plug Gauges, Ring Gauges, etc.
- • Reduce rejection and improve process capability.
- • Maintain process parameters and quality records.

- Preventive Maintenance




- • Perform routine machine inspection and basic preventive maintenance.
- • Identify abnormal machine conditions and coordinate with the Maintenance team
- for corrective action.
- • Ensure proper lubrication and housekeeping around machines.

- Safety & Compliance
- • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- • Maintain 5S standards in the work area.
- • Adhere to company policies, quality systems, and manufacturing standards.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of cold forging processes for nut and bolt manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in setting multi-station cold forging machines.
- Knowledge of dies, punches, tooling, and machine alignment.
- Understanding of raw materials used in fastener manufacturing.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and process sheets.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality inspection methods.
- Basic knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S will be an advantage.
