As an Embroidery Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating computerized embroidery machines and ensuring that embroidered products are produced accurately, efficiently, and as per quality standards.
You will manage the complete embroidery process from machine setup and garment hooping to production, quality inspection, and routine machine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate embroidery machines efficiently as per production plans.
- Set up machines, including loading designs, selecting needles, and assigning thread colors.
- Hoop garments and other materials accurately to ensure proper embroidery placement.
- Select and use the correct stabilizer and topping (Solvy) based on fabric type.
- Monitor machine performance during production and resolve minor issues such as thread breaks, needle breaks, and bobbin replacement.
- Conduct first-piece approval before bulk production.
- Inspect embroidered products for quality, alignment, thread tension, and finishing.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of embroidery machine operation.
- Understanding of embroidery threads, needles, stabilizers, and fabrics.
- Ability to read job sheets and embroidery specifications.
- Valuable attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Basic computer knowledge is an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Minimum: 10th/12th Pass or ITI.
- Certificate or training in embroidery is preferred.
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in operating computerized embroidery machines (e.g., Brother, Tajima, Barudan, Ricoma).
Working Conditions
- Factory/Production environment.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Rotational shifts, including overtime if required.
- Use of appropriate PPE and adherence to safety guidelines.
