We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our Global Product Sourcing team as a Senior Officer - Packaging Material Sourcing. The role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, packaging commercialization support, cost optimization, and supply assurance across packaging material categories.

The ideal candidate should have experience managing packaging suppliers, driving sourcing initiatives, supporting new product launches, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in FMCG, Food, Nutraceutical, Pharma, Consumer Healthcare, or related industries.

Role & responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for packaging categories.
- Conduct supplier identification, benchmarking, and market analysis.
- Support RFQs, RFPs, commercial evaluations, and supplier negotiations.
- Drive cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.

Supplier Management

- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard suppliers.
- Coordinate supplier audits, quality assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Monitor supplier performance and lead supplier development initiatives.

Packaging Commercialization

- Support new product launches, packaging changes, and commercialization projects.
- Partner with Packaging Development, R&D;, Quality,



and Manufacturing teams.
- Coordinate packaging trials, validation activities, and supplier readiness.

Supply Assurance & Risk Management

- Ensure uninterrupted supply of packaging materials.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and inventory levels.
- Develop alternate sourcing and dual-sourcing strategies.

Sustainability & Compliance

- Support sustainable packaging initiatives and ESG objectives.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FSSAI, food-contact regulations, and quality requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong understanding of packaging materials and packaging processes.
- Experience in sourcing categories such as:
- Adaptable Packaging
- Labels
- Cartons
- Corrugated Boxes
- Bottles & Jars
- Caps & Closures
- Printed Packaging Materials
- Supplier management and vendor development experience.
- Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Technology, Printing Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, Food Technology, Materials Science, or related discipline.
- MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
