Consultant Specialist - Guardium Production Support

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Specialist - Guardium Production Support with strong expertise in IBM Guardium Administration, Database Security, and Production Support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Guardium implementation, policy management, audit configuration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and ensuring the stability and security of database environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and administer IBM Guardium infrastructure.
- Roll out and support Guardium v12 across multiple database platforms.
- Apply Guardium patches, upgrades, and vendor-released fixes.
- Design, implement, and fine-tune Guardium security policies.
- Configure and manage audit processes and compliance reporting.
- Install and configure STAP agents on Unix/Linux, Windows servers, and database appliances.
- Monitor Guardium appliances and perform server health checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Guardium audit, performance, and reporting issues.
- Handle production incidents and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Coordinate change requests and release deployments with various stakeholders.




- Support database security operations and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams.
- Follow ITIL processes for change, incident, and release management.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of IBM Guardium Architecture and Administration
- Hands-on experience with Guardium Policy Creation, Audit Setup, and Fine-Tuning
- Experience in Guardium v12 Deployment, Upgrades, and Patch Management
- Expertise in STAP Agent Installation and Configuration
- Robust understanding of Database Security Concepts
- Experience in Production Support and Incident Management
- Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows Administration
- Experience in Server Monitoring, Performance Tuning, and Troubleshooting
- Knowledge of ITIL Change and Release Management
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Skills

- Experience with trusted connections in Guardium.
- Exposure to multiple database technologies.
- Banking, Financial Services, or Enterprise Security domain experience.
