This position is open with Bajaj Finance Limited. The Branch Manager is a managerial responsibility for providing full leadership and direction to the team of employees in growing business and client base of consumer gold loan. The overall objective of this role is to build customer loyalty and to recommend the development of business strategies or initiatives and may include the management of activities by external organizations, and the direct management of individuals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall branch operations, performance and profitability of the branch.
- Drive and participate in field marketing activities of various financial products along with the team to improve brand visibility.
- Plan, conduct and monitor the branch and field level marketing activities to ensure a healthy pipeline of leads resulting in business conversion and branch growth.
- Focus on customer engagement for new customer acquisitions and retention of existing customers.
- Conduct error-free valuation and appraisal of gold ornaments pledged in the branch with correct weight and purity assessment as per company policy and audit compliance.
- Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility for safekeeping of pledged securities as per company policies.
- Responsible for keeping NPAs under control through strong follow-ups from customers for interest collections.
- Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch and for developing cohesiveness within the company and among co-workers.
- Hiring, coaching, mentoring and training employees and providing them with timely feedback on their performance.
- Maintaining quality and performance of the business, preparing various reports and taking necessary actions for growth of the business in the branch.
- Increase Gold Loan business, plus various other third-party products i.e., NCDs, Gold Coins sale etc.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education & Skill Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of relevant experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree/Post-graduation Degree preferred.
- Previous experience in gold loan banking, gold loan products, management or client service preferred.
- Consistently demonstrates explicit and concise written and verbal communication skills.
