Primary responsibilities include:

* Preparation of financial statements as well as client financial and management accounting.

* Managing and overseeing regulatory and compliance issues.

* Preparation of Board Packs and client benchmarking analysis.

* Reviewing new client's business operations and working with the team that implements solutions.

* Responding to and following up on queries by the captive accountholders.

* Maintenance and development of various management information reports

Key activities in the job include:

* Preparation of Trial Balance, Income statement and Balance Sheet for Captive Insurance clients

* Planning and carrying out different accounting and financial activities like budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, cash flow statement

* Update notes to accounts, if and when required

* Calculating the unearned / un-expensed reinsurance reserve

* Calculating the Allocated Investment Income

* Posting journals, preparing reconciliation and reviewing balances

* Preparing management, statutory and regulatory reports

* Monitoring the shareholder/Inter-company loans - as per the respective state laws

* Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information





* Be system proficient with hands on experience on Microsoft Office applications

* Liaise and attend meetings along with other company functions necessary to perform duties and organizational development.

Skills and Experience Required

* 1-4 years of experience in accounting.

* Good communication skills

* Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality

* Advanced spreadsheet skills (Microsoft Excel)

* A forward planner who can critically assess his / her own performance

* Mature, credible and comfortable in dealing with senior company executives

* Emphatic communicator, ability to see things from the other person's point of view

* Sufficiently mobile and versatile to travel to the United States of America, United Kingdom or other domicile locations

* Keen on new experience, responsibility, accountability and professional development

* Able to get on with others; be a team-player
