SME - DC Systems & Inverter

Job Summary

Lead operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, reliability improvement, and performance optimization of DC systems and Solar Inverters across utility-scale Solar PV plants. Responsible for ensuring maximum inverter availability, plant performance, generation optimization, and implementation of best maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage operation and maintenance of String Inverters, Central Inverters, DCDBs, SCBs/SMBs, DC Cables, Combiner Boxes, and associated DC systems.
- Monitor inverter health, availability, alarms, efficiency, and performance through SCADA and monitoring platforms.
- Conduct IV Curve Analysis, DC insulation testing, thermography, string monitoring, and performance diagnostics.
- Troubleshoot inverter faults, communication issues, grounding faults, arc faults, string mismatch, and MPPT abnormalities.
- Analyze plant performance,



generation losses, clipping losses, and downtime to improve energy yield.
- Coordinate with inverter OEMs for firmware upgrades, troubleshooting, warranty claims, and critical component replacement.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance activities.
- Support commissioning, testing, and performance validation of current solar assets.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, PTW, LOTO, and electrical maintenance procedures.
- Prepare performance reports, RCA reports, and corrective action plans for equipment failures.
- Drive initiatives to improve inverter reliability, performance ratio (PR), and plant availability.

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
