Head of Design, InCred Money

About the Role: The Design Mandate

As the foundational Head of Design for InCred Money, you will be responsible for building, defining, and scaling the entire design practice from the ground up. This is a critical leadership role that requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution to create world-class, intuitive, and high-trust user experiences across our diverse investment products.

You will own the end-to-end design strategy – across product design, UI/UX,marketing and branding for InCred Money, spanning products that include: Digital Gold, Unlisted Equity, Listed Equities, Futures & Options (F&O;), US Stocks, etc.. Your core mandate will be to translate complex financial concepts into simple, delightful, and compliant digital journeys that empower our users.

Key Responsibilities

Design Practice Setup: Define the vision, process, and operating model for a high-performing, multidisciplinary design team, including UX Designers, UI Designers, Researchers, Graphic Design.

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Attract, hire, retain, and develop top design talent. Provide clear guidance, direction, and mentorship to foster an inclusive, high-growth environment.

Strategic UI/UX Ownership: Be the champion of the consumer experience across all InCred Money products. Ensure the design function is deeply integrated into the product development lifecycle, driving decision- making from concept to launch.





Product Domain Specialization: Drive the design strategy to simplify complex financial instruments (e.g., F&O;, unlisted investments) into transparent, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Business Leadership to build alignment on design priorities, product roadmaps, and execution, ensuring design drives measurable business impact.

Operational Excellence: Oversee design project timelines and deliverables.

Startup Adaptability: Demonstrate high adaptability, resilience, and a hands- on approach in an ever-changing, fast-paced, and high-growth startup setting.

Required Skills and Experience

Total Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in UX Design, Interaction Design, or equivalent roles.

Leadership Experience: 4+ years of successful lead and/or management experience, specifically building and scaling dynamic design teams (UX, UI, Research, Content).

Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in design or a related discipline will be preferred.

Industry Preference (Highly Desired): Proven experience in the Fintech/Wealth Management/Investment domain is a significant advantage, demonstrating an ability to design for high-stakes, regulated environments.

Location: Mumbai (Full time Mon-Friday in office)
