- Key ResponsibilitiesOperate VMC machines for machining various components as per production requirements.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, machining instructions, and process sheets.
- Perform machine setting, tool loading, tool offset correction, and workpiece loading/unloading.
- Check and adjust tool offsets, work coordinates, and machining parameters as required.
- Operate CNC/VMC programs and make minor program corrections where authorized.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge, and gauges to inspect components.
- Ensure components are produced within specified dimensional tolerances.
- Monitor machining operations and identify abnormal machine sounds, tool wear, vibration, or quality issues.
- Replace worn/damaged cutting tools and maintain proper tool condition.




- Follow production plans and achieve assigned production targets.
- Maintain proper 5S, housekeeping, and cleanliness around the machine.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and machine operating standards.
- Record production quantities, rejection/rework details, tool changes, and other required production data.
- Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve machining and quality issues.
- Minimize rejection, rework, machine idle time, and material wastage.
- Carry out basic machine checks and report breakdowns or maintenance requirements to the concerned department.
- Follow company policies, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
