1. Roles & ResponsibilitiesOperate the assigned VMC, CNC or Grinding machine safely and efficiently as per production requirements.
2. Read and understand engineering drawings, process sheets, work instructions and specifications.
3. Load and unload raw materials, components, fixtures and tools correctly.
4. Perform basic machine setting, tool setting, tool changes and offset corrections as applicable to the machine.
5. Follow the approved process parameters, cycle time and machining sequence.
6. Inspect components during and after machining using appropriate measuring instruments such as:

- Vernier caliper
- Micrometer
- Height gauge
- Bore gauge
- Dial gauge
- Plug/ring gauges
- Other specified inspection gauges

1. Ensure all components are manufactured within the specified dimensions and tolerances.
2. Monitor machine operation and immediately report abnormal noise, vibration, tool wear, machine errors or quality issues.
3. Maintain proper tool condition and replace worn or damaged tools as required.
4. Achieve the assigned daily production target and cycle-time requirements.
5. Minimize rejection, rework, tool consumption and material wastage.
6. Carry out in-process inspection at defined intervals and maintain required quality records.
7. Segregate OK, rejected and rework components properly to avoid mixing.




8. Maintain proper 5S and housekeeping around the machine and work area.
9. Follow all applicable safety rules, PPE requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
10. Carry out routine machine checks such as coolant, lubrication, hydraulic/pneumatic conditions and other basic checks, as applicable.
11. Report machine breakdowns and maintenance requirements promptly to the Maintenance / Production Supervisor.
12. Maintain production records, rejection details, tool-change records and other required documentation.
13. Coordinate with Production, Quality and Maintenance departments for smooth production operations.
14. Follow the company's quality, safety, discipline, attendance and other HR policies.
15. Support continuous improvement activities, including productivity improvement, rejection reduction, cost reduction and process improvement.
16. Assist supervisors/setters in trial runs, current component development and process changes, wherever required.
17. Maintain proper care of machines, tools, fixtures, gauges and other company assets.
18. Be willing to work in rotational shifts and perform other reasonable production-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
