We are looking for a Purchase Manager to take ownership of procurement, vendor management and cost optimisation across our manufacturing and business operations.

The Role

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for ensuring the right materials, at the right quality, quantity, price and time.

You will manage the complete procurement cycle — from identifying and negotiating with vendors to purchase orders, delivery tracking, quality coordination and vendor performance.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Raw Materials

- Manage procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, ingredients and other production requirements.
- Plan purchases based on production requirements, inventory levels and upcoming demand.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
- Identify and onboard reliable suppliers for key materials.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and minimise stock-outs and excess inventory.

Vendor Management

- Identify, evaluate and develop new vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, lead times and commercial agreements.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
- Regularly evaluate vendors on price, quality, service and delivery performance.
- Develop alternate vendors for critical materials to reduce supply risk.

Cost Optimisation





- Continuously identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Benchmark vendor pricing and negotiate competitive rates.
- Analyse purchase costs and identify price fluctuations.
- Work on bulk purchasing, MOQ optimisation and better commercial terms where relevant.
- Maintain purchase records and ensure procurement is within approved budgets.

Purchase Operations

- Raise and manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Track orders from placement to receipt.
- Coordinate with vendors, production, warehouse, finance and operations teams.
- Ensure proper documentation, invoices and purchase records.
- Resolve delivery, quantity, quality and billing discrepancies with vendors.

Quality & Compliance

- Coordinate with the production and quality teams to ensure purchased materials meet required specifications.
- Address quality issues and coordinate replacements or corrective actions with vendors.
- Ensure vendors comply with required quality and food-safety standards.
- Maintain required vendor documentation and records.

Inventory & Planning

- Work closely with production and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels.
- Maintain visibility on critical and fast-moving materials.
- Plan procurement based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
- Identify slow-moving, excess or near-expiry inventory and take corrective action.




- Ensure efficient utilisation of working capital.

What We're Looking For

- 4–7 years of experience in procurement/purchase, preferably in F&B;, FMCG, food manufacturing, bakery or D2C.
- Strong experience in raw material and packaging procurement.
- Proven vendor identification, negotiation and management skills.
- Strong understanding of pricing, MOQ, lead times and payment terms.
- Experience managing multiple vendors and procurement requirements simultaneously.
- Good understanding of inventory planning and supply coordination.
- Strong analytical and cost-control skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong ownership and problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What Would Make You Stand Out

- Experience in food manufacturing or bakery procurement.
- Existing vendor network for food ingredients and packaging materials.
- Experience handling high-volume or multi-SKU procurement.
- Strong understanding of food-grade materials and packaging.
- Experience with procurement/ERP software and advanced Excel.
- Ability to build a structured and scalable procurement function.
