Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Specialist with over 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting backend and cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, and Azure Cosmos DB, along with a basic understanding of Azure App Service and Azure Function Apps. The role requires a proactive problem-solver with solid communication skills and experience working in Agile

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and JavaScript.

- Develop, maintain, and consume RESTful APIs for internal and external system integrations.

- Work with Azure Cosmos DB for data modelling, querying, optimization, and application data management.

- Use a basic understanding of Azure App Service and Azure Function Apps to support application hosting, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting activities.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, frontend developers, QA teams, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable solutions.

- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing support, deployment, and production support.

- Perform code reviews, technical troubleshooting, defect analysis,



and root cause analysis for application and production issues.

- Follow secure coding standards, development guidelines, source-control practices, and agreed engineering processes.

- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, reusable components, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Communicate technical progress, risks, dependencies, blockers, and support requirements clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Experience with distributed services or microservices-based architecture.

- Exposure to Azure API Management, Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and related Azure services.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, dependency scanning, and DevOps practices.

- Exposure to Docker, containerization, messaging services, or event-driven application patterns.

- Azure development or cloud certification would be an advantage.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience delivering and supporting enterprise backend or cloud-based applications.

- Experience working with cross-functional teams and contributing to technical design and implementation decisions.

- Ability to manage technical priorities and deliver quality outcomes with limited supervision.
