Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead – Quality Systems & Customer Approvals to drive Quality Management Systems, customer approvals, certifications, audits, special process qualifications, supplier development, and QMS integration across Automotive & Aerospace manufacturing operations.

The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with global quality standards, customer-specific requirements, special process certifications, and successful execution of customer and third-party audits.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead implementation, sustenance, documentation, training, and certification of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS 9100, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001 and SA 8000 requirements.

- Drive customer approvals, customer audits, third-party certifications, and approval renewals for Automotive and Aerospace customers.

- Translate Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) into procedures, SOPs, training, and shop-floor implementation.

- Lead NADCAP and special process certifications covering NDT, FPI/MPI, Welding, Brazing, DFL and other in-house special processes.

- Drive development and qualification of personnel for AWS Level 2, NAS 410 Level 3, NDT Level 2/3, DPRV and other customer-mandated qualifications.

- Plan and manage Internal, Process, Product, Supplier, Customer and Third-Party Audits, including corrective action and closure.

- Lead supplier development and qualification activities for forgings and investment castings.

- Conduct supplier audits and support suppliers in implementing customer-specific requirements and quality systems.

- Prepare and review IMS manuals, procedures, SOPs, work instructions and visual standards.

- Lead Management Review Meetings (MRM), including planning, agenda, minutes, KPI review and action closure.

- Develop and monitor quality KPIs, dashboards and continual improvement initiatives.





- Identify training needs and coordinate internal, external and customer-mandated training programs.

- Drive harmonization and rewriting of QMS procedures across multiple Automotive and Aerospace units as part of organizational integration/merger activities.

- Ensure effective control and availability of current QMS documentation through the company intranet/document management system.

- Interact directly with Aerospace and Automotive customers on quality concerns, complaints, audits and approvals.

Key Accountabilities

- Obtain and sustain all applicable Management System Certifications.

- Obtain and sustain Special Process Certifications, including NADCAP.

- Obtain and maintain Customer Approvals.

- Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements.

- Ensure timely and effective closure of audit findings and corrective actions.

- Drive supplier qualification and development.

- Ensure consistent implementation of QMS across multiple manufacturing units.

Candidate Profile

- 18+ years of relevant experience in Quality Systems / QMS / Customer Quality within Automotive and/or Aerospace manufacturing.

- Strong experience with IATF 16949, AS 9100, ISO 9001 and other relevant management systems.

- Robust exposure to Customer Audits, Customer Approvals, Third-Party Certifications and Supplier Audits.

- Experience with NADCAP and Special Processes such as NDT, FPI/MPI, Welding, Brazing and DFL will be highly preferred.

- Exposure to forgings and investment castings supplier development is an advantage.

- Strong understanding of QMS documentation, CAPA, internal audits, MRM, KPI management and continual improvement.

- Experience working with Automotive and Aerospace customers and handling customer-specific requirements.

- Strong stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.

- Experience managing quality systems across multiple manufacturing locations/units will be preferred.
