Critical Requirement Note

Mandatory Note: Experience in either Juniper OR Palo Alto Firewall is required. However, hands-on operational experience across IPS, DDoS mitigation, and Akamai is strictly mandatory for all applicants.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled L2 Network Security Engineer to join our security operations team in Mumbai. You will be responsible for managing enterprise network security controls, handling threat detection, and maintaining high availability across our perimeter and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Firewall Operations: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls (Juniper SRX or Palo Alto PAN-OS), managing security policies, NAT, and VPNs.
- IPS & Threat Management: Tune, monitor, and manage Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) to detect and block malicious network activity in real-time.
- DDoS Mitigation: Execute robust DDoS mitigation strategies, monitor traffic anomalies, configure thresholds,



and manage rapid response protocols.
- Akamai Cloud Security: Handle daily operations for Akamai security solutions (such as Kona Site Defender, App & API Protector, or Prolexic) to protect web and application traffic.
- Incident Triage & Change Management: Act as an operational escalation point for security alerts, execute root cause analysis (RCA), and manage scheduled firewall/security rule changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 4 to 6 years of dedicated operational experience in enterprise network security infrastructure.
- Core Competencies (Mandatory):

- Firewall (Any One): Hands-on operational expertise in Juniper OR Palo Alto firewalls.

- Security Controls (All Mandatory): Proven experience in IPS management, DDoS mitigation, and Akamai cloud security operations.

- Availability: Immediate joiners or those with a maximum 30-day notice period only.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant OEM certifications (e.g., PCNSE, JNCIS-SEC) are preferred.
