Job Description: L2 Network & Security Operations Engineer (Firewall & Zscaler Proxy)

Role OverviewWe are looking for a skilled L2 Network & Security Operations Engineer to join our security team in Mumbai. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise perimeter security and cloud proxy infrastructure.

Mandatory requirements include hands-on operational experience with Zscaler and at least one enterprise firewall vendor (Juniper, Palo Alto, or Fortinet).

Key Responsibilities

- Proxy & Secure Web Gateway Operations: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) infrastructure, ensuring secure web traffic routing, URL filtering, SSL inspection, and policy enforcement.
- Firewall Administration: Implement, monitor, and maintain enterprise firewalls (Juniper, Palo Alto, or Fortinet), handling rule lifecycle, NAT, VPN, and threat management.
- Incident Response & Triage: Investigate security alerts, proxy blocks, traffic anomalies, and network connectivity bottlenecks; perform root cause analysis (RCA)



and mitigation.
- Change & Configuration Management: Execute firewall rule changes and Zscaler policy updates in alignment with change management protocols and security baselines.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional IT, network, and application teams to resolve security roadblocks and deploy recent network services smoothly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum 4 years of dedicated experience in network security operations, firewall management, and proxy administration.
- Mandatory Technical Stack:

- Cloud Proxy: Extensive operational experience with Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA).
- Firewalls: Mandatory hands-on experience with at least one of the following platforms: Juniper (SRX/Junos), Palo Alto (PAN-OS), or Fortinet (FortiGate).

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Preferred Certifications: PCNSE, JNCIS-SEC, NSE 4/7, or Zscaler-certified credentials (ZCCA-IA/ZCCP).
