Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate – Fixed Assets to manage fixed asset and lease accounting activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, support audits, and contribute to process improvements.

The role requires strong knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting, Lease Accounting, SAP FICO, and MS Excel, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Must-Have Skills

- 5+ years of experience in Fixed Asset Accounting or a closely related area

- Strong experience in Lease Accounting

- Hands-on experience with SAP Financial Accounting / SAP FICO

- Strong proficiency in MS Excel

- Experience handling high-volume accounting transactions

- Good understanding of fixed asset accounting processes, including:

- Asset capitalization

- Asset transfers

- Asset disposals

- Depreciation

- Asset impairment

- Assets Under Construction (AUC)

- Fixed Asset Clearing Accounts

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong stakeholder management skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

- Ability to work effectively under tight timelines

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience with IFRS 16 / Lease Accounting

- Hands-on experience with SAP RE-FX

- Experience with leased asset accounting

- Exposure to fixed asset verification and reconciliation activities

- Experience supporting internal/external audits

- Knowledge of process improvement and finance systems enhancement

Key ResponsibilitiesFixed Asset Accounting

- Execute accounting policies, procedures, and processes for tangible and intangible fixed assets

- Perform asset capitalization, transfers, and disposals in SAP

- Review open POs and identify items requiring capitalization

- Determine appropriate useful lives and depreciation rates

- Support recognition of asset impairment losses





- Maintain accurate fixed asset schedules

- Monitor Assets Under Construction (AUC) and Fixed Asset Clearing Accounts

- Ensure assets are capitalized accurately and on a timely basis

Lease Accounting

- Execute accounting and reporting processes for leased assets

- Ensure lease-related transactions are recorded accurately and within defined timelines

- Support lease accounting activities in line with applicable accounting policies

- Apply knowledge of IFRS 16, where applicable

Asset Verification & Reconciliation

- Support fixed asset verification exercises

- Investigate and follow up on discrepancies and variances

- Assist with reconciliation and resolution of asset-related issues

- Support business users with asset management processes and policies

Audit & Stakeholder Management

- Provide timely support for internal and external audit queries

- Prepare relevant information and documentation for auditors

- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve accounting and asset-related queries

- Communicate accounting requirements and policies effectively to business teams

Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve fixed asset and lease accounting processes

- Support finance system enhancements and process automation initiatives

- Participate in other finance/accounting projects and ad-hoc activities as required

Candidate Profile

- Experience: 5–10 years

- Strong relevant experience in Fixed Asset Accounting / Lease Accounting

- Hands-on experience with SAP FICO

- Strong Excel skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Comfortable working in a agile, fast-paced environment

- Able to manage high-volume transactions and multiple priorities

- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

- Job stability: Minimum 2 years in an organization preferred

- Notice Period: Immediate to 45 Days
