Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Vice President – MEP Design to provide strategic leadership and technical direction to MEP Design & Engineering teams.

The role will involve leading multidisciplinary design teams, managing complex engineering projects, driving design excellence, and ensuring delivery in line with international codes, standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Electrical and HVAC design, combined with extensive project management and leadership experience across large-scale building and infrastructure projects.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

- Overall 15–20 years of experience in MEP Design & Engineering

- Minimum 10+ years of strong MEP Design experience

- Minimum 10+ years of Electrical Engineering / Electrical Design experience

- Minimum 10+ years of HVAC Design experience

- 15+ years of Project Management experience

- Strong experience managing multidisciplinary MEP Design teams

- Hands-on technical/design expertise in at least one MEP discipline, with strong knowledge of other disciplines

- Strong understanding and practical experience with international codes and standards, particularly across:

- US

- Europe

- APAC

- Experience handling large and complex engineering projects

- Strong knowledge of internationally used MEP design software and tools

- Proven experience in managing project design teams and delivering projects successfully

- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and team management skills





Relevant Project Experience

Candidates should have significant experience with one or more of the following:

- High-rise commercial buildings

- Large residential / mixed-use developments

- Airports

- Metro / transportation infrastructure

- Data Centers

- Large-scale and complex engineering projects

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience currently operating at Director / VP / Head / Senior Associate Director / Business Head level

- Experience as an MEP Design Head / Engineering Head

- Experience leading large multidisciplinary engineering organizations

- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline

- Experience with global engineering and design projects

- Strong exposure to business growth, client management, and strategic project planning

- Experience driving design standards, process improvements, and engineering excellence

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy

- Provide strategic direction for MEP Design & Engineering Services

- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams across Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, and related disciplines

- Establish design strategies, standards, processes, and best practices

- Drive engineering quality, efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement

- Build a strong technical and leadership culture within the design organization

Design & Engineering

- Provide technical oversight for complex MEP design projects

- Review and guide Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing, and related engineering designs





- Ensure designs comply with applicable international codes and standards

- Support resolution of complex technical and design challenges

- Ensure effective utilization of modern design software and engineering tools

Project Management

- Lead design delivery for large-scale and complex projects

- Manage project timelines, resources, deliverables, and quality

- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders

- Monitor project performance and ensure timely delivery

- Identify and mitigate design and project-related risks

Team & Stakeholder Management

- Lead, develop, and mentor senior design professionals and engineering teams

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success

- Communicate technical concepts and project status effectively to senior leadership and clients

- Build strong relationships with project stakeholders and engineering teams

Education

BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Electrical Engineering background is preferred.
A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Candidate Profile

- 15–20 years of relevant MEP Design & Engineering experience

- Strong Electrical and HVAC Design background

- Extensive Project Management experience

- Proven leadership of large engineering/design teams

- Robust international project and code/standards exposure

- Experience with large, complex buildings and infrastructure projects

- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

- Comfortable working 100% from office in Gurgaon

Interview Process

2–3 Rounds including HOD / Senior Leadership & Technical Discussion → Face-to-Face Round → Client Round
