Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Product Developer III Tech Lead (MERN) to join a high-growth technology product team building scalable, AI-powered SaaS applications.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with strong expertise in the MERN stack, modern web architecture, real-time communication, microservices, cloud technologies, and AI/LLM integrations.

You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable product features, driving technical architecture, integrating AI capabilities, improving application performance and security, and maintaining high engineering standards.

This is a hands-on Tech Lead/Individual Contributor role requiring someone who can take ownership of complex technical problems while continuing to contribute significantly to development.

Key Responsibilities Product & Application Development

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using the MERN stack.
- Build reusable, maintainable and high-quality frontend and backend components.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
- Develop real-time applications using WebSockets / Socket Programming.
- Design and implement microservices and asynchronous/event-driven architectures.
- Work on multiple modules of a large-scale SaaS product.
- Understand existing codebases quickly and independently deliver enhancements with minimal handholding.

AI & GenAI Development
- Design and integrate AI-powered features into SaaS products.
- Integrate LLMs and AI APIs/SDKs into production applications.
- Work with technologies such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, LangGraph and similar AI frameworks/platforms.
- Develop and integrate AI agents and agentic workflows.
- Build RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions.
- Work with vector databases, embeddings and semantic search where applicable.
- Apply modern AI-assisted development workflows and tools.





Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Own technical design and architecture for assigned product modules.
- Translate product/business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Define application architecture, service boundaries and integration patterns.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
- Drive clean code, reusable components, design patterns and best practices.
- Mentor and guide developers where required.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA and other engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform debugging/reverse engineering of existing systems.

Performance, Security & Reliability
- Identify and resolve application performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize database queries, APIs and frontend performance.
- Improve application scalability, reliability and responsiveness.
- Implement appropriate application security practices.
- Contribute to testing strategies and automated testing.
- Ensure technical documentation and API documentation are maintained.

Cloud & DevOps
- Work with AWS, Azure or GCP cloud environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Support automated application deployments and setting provisioning.
- Work with containerization and modern deployment practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on production deployments and infrastructure requirements.

Required Skills & Experience Core MERN
- 6 8 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- MongoDB
- Express.js
- React.js
- Node.js

- Strong JavaScript / TypeScript skills.
- Experience developing production-grade web applications.

Backend & Architecture




- Strong experience with REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with WebSockets / Socket Programming Mandatory.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience with asynchronous and event-driven architecture.
- Strong understanding of scalable application architecture and system design.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting and reverse-engineering skills.

AI / GenAI
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into applications.
- Experience with LLM APIs, preferably OpenAI or equivalent.
- Experience with RAG architectures.
- Experience with AI agents / agentic workflows.
- Exposure to LangChain / LangGraph or similar frameworks.
- Experience with vector databases, embeddings and semantic search is highly relevant.
- Experience integrating third-party AI APIs/SDKs.

Cloud & DevOps
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform:
- AWS
- Azure
- GCP

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD.
- Understanding of automated deployment and environment provisioning.
- Experience with Docker/containerization.

Leadership
- Experience operating as a Tech Lead / Senior Engineer with technical ownership.
- Strong experience in architecture/design decisions.
- Experience conducting code reviews and maintaining coding standards.
- Ability to mentor developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership.
