Automotive Warehouse SME

Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad/Pune (Hybrid)

Overview:

- Seeking an experienced Automotive Logistics and Material Flow SME with expertise in in-plant logistics, sequencing, kitting, warehousing, and OEM-supplier material flow operations.
- The SME will support the evaluation and optimization of logistics operations within a complex automotive manufacturing environment, including storage, replenishment, inventory management, line-side delivery, material handling, value-added assembly operations, automation adoption, and facility capacity planning.
- The role will work with operations, industrial engineering, simulation, and Industry 5.0 solution teams (e.g., Digital Twin implementation team) to define current-state operating assumptions, evaluate future-state scenarios, and provide recommendations on material flow, inventory placement, storage strategies, and logistics automation.
- Experience supporting automotive supplier-operated logistics centers, sequencing operations, value-added assembly (VAA) environments, or outsourced in-plant logistics (3PL) operations is highly preferred.

Required:

- 10+ years in one or more of:

o Automotive in-plant logistics

o Automotive warehousing

o Automotive material flow engineering

o Industrial engineering

o Manufacturing logistics

o Contract logistics / 3PL operations

- Experience supporting:

o OEM manufacturing operations

o Tier-1 suppliers

o Tier-2 suppliers

o Automotive sequencing centers

o JIT/JIS operations

- Robust understanding of:

o Line-side replenishment





o Supermarkets

o Kitting operations

o Sequencing operations

o Material presentation strategies

o Inventory storage and replenishment

o Forklift, tugger and AGV operations

o Warehouse and LOC design
