The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining robust client-server and n-tier applications usingSybase PowerBuilder. - Design, develop,



and maintain enterprise-grade applications usingPowerBuilder (PB 10.x / 12.x / 2019 / 2022)
- Build complexDataWindows, windows, menus, tab controls, and user objects
- Develop reusable components and frameworks usingPowerScript
- Implementn-tier, client-server, and MVC architecturepatterns
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
- Develop and maintaincustom user events, functions, and class hierarchies
- Design, write, and optimize complexSQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views
- Integrate PowerBuilder applications withSybase ASE, MS SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2
- ManageODBC/JDBC database connectionsand transaction management
- Ensuredata integrity, normalization, and optimal database performance
- Integrate withREST/SOAP web servicesand third-party APIs
- Analyze, debug, and resolve application defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues
- Conduct thoroughcode reviewsto ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- ProvideLevel 2/Level 3 production supportand root cause analysis
- Write and maintain comprehensiveunit test casesand support QA testing cycles
- Create and updatetechnical documentation, design specs, and runbooks
- Lead or contribute tolegacy PowerBuilder application migrationprojects




- Support upgrades from older PB versions toPowerBuilder 2019/2022 or Appeon platforms
- Collaborate with solution architects onre-engineering, refactoring, and modernization strategies
- Assist in migrating PowerBuilder apps to.NET, Java, or web-based platforms
- Evaluate and implementAppeon Web / Appeon Mobilesolutions for PB modernization
- Work closely withBusiness Analysts, Solution Architects, QA Engineers, and Project Managers
- Actively participate inAgile/Scrum ceremonies— sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Coordinate with infrastructure and DevOps teams fordeployment and release management
- Mentor and guidejunior developerson PowerBuilder best practices
- Contribute toeffort estimation, technical planning, and solution design discussions
- Bachelor's or Master's degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10 + yearsof hands-on PowerBuilder application development experience
- Deep expertise inDataWindow objects, PowerScript, and event-driven programming
- Solid proficiency inSQL and relational database management
- Solid understanding ofSDLC methodologies— Agile and Waterfall
- Proven experience indebugging, performance tuning, and production support
- Strong understanding ofobject-oriented programming (OOP)concepts within PowerBuilder
- Experience withPowerBuilder to .NET or Java migration projects
- Hands-on experience withAppeon/PowerServerfor web and mobile deployment
- Knowledge ofmicroservices architectureand API-first design
- Exposure tocloud-native developmenton AWS or Azure
