Salesforce Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a Salesforce Lead with a strong combination of hands-on development expertise, technical leadership, and delivery ownership. This role involves guiding the development team, meticulously reviewing solution designs and code, resolving complex technical challenges, and ensuring the successful delivery of secure and scalable Salesforce solutions.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position. The ideal candidate will be adept at designing, reviewing, troubleshooting, and developing intricate Salesforce solutions while simultaneously mentoring the development team and taking ownership of technical delivery.

Experience

- Typically 8 to 12 years of overall professional experience.
- A minimum of 6 years of dedicated Salesforce experience.
- At least 2 years in a technical leadership or workstream ownership capacity.
- Proven experience delivering medium-to-large scale Salesforce implementations.

Key Responsibilities

- Assume ownership of the technical delivery, engineering quality, and production readiness for Salesforce projects or significant workstreams.
- Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical solutions.
- Provide guidance to developers on design, implementation, testing, security, and troubleshooting best practices.
- Independently develop complex components, technical proof-of-concepts, or critical fixes requiring hands-on intervention.
- Conduct thorough reviews of Salesforce configurations, Apex code, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, integrations, security settings, data models, and deployment processes.
- Identify, document, and manage technical debt, ensuring that short-term delivery decisions do not introduce unacceptable long-term platform risks.




- Make informed decisions regarding the optimal use of configuration, custom development, AppExchange products, middleware, AI capabilities, and external platforms.
- Lead estimation efforts, technical planning, code reviews, release activities, and production stabilization phases.
- Establish and enforce standards for coding, testing, documentation, security, and DevOps practices.
- Coordinate technical dependencies across development, QA, business analysis, architecture, DevOps, middleware, and external system teams.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the overall enhancement of the team's technical capabilities.
- Communicate technical options, assumptions, risks, and dependencies clearly to both client and internal stakeholders.
- Lead or support initiatives involving Agentforce, Data Cloud, and AI-enabled Salesforce functionalities.

Required Skills

- Extensive experience with Apex, LWC, Flow, APIs, integrations, security, data modeling, asynchronous processing, and understanding Salesforce platform limits.
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable and reusable technical solutions.
- Proficiency with REST, event-driven architectures, middleware, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce security models, including identity, access, sharing, and integration-user design.
- Experience with Git-based development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, environment strategy, release management,



and production support.
- Experience in at least one core Salesforce cloud, with working knowledge of additional clouds.
- Exceptional team leadership, estimation, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.

Emerging Technology Awareness

Candidates should possess an understanding of how modern Salesforce solutions are evolving, including:

- Enterprise AI agents and Agentforce capabilities.
- Agent actions, topics, prompts, grounding, guardrails, and human escalation processes.
- Salesforce Data Cloud for unified customer data management.
- Headless and API-first application design patterns.
- Agent APIs, embedding agents in mobile or web applications, and managing external-channel experiences.
- Event-driven architecture and real-time integration strategies.
- MuleSoft, API management, and integration with external enterprise systems.
- AI-assisted development, automated testing, system observability, and DevOps advancements.
- Principles of Responsible AI, data privacy, consent management, and security.

Candidates will be expected to review and validate AI-generated code, configurations, tests, and technical recommendations prior to their integration into solutions.

The Lead is not expected to be an expert in all emerging areas but must be capable of leading discovery, assessing feasibility, and guiding implementation, leveraging specialist support as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification is strongly preferred.
- Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, Integration Architecture, Data Architecture, Sharing and Visibility Architecture, or AI are considered advantageous.
