We are looking for an Onboarding Specialist to manage end-to-end client onboarding for our Portfolio Management Services (PMS) business. This role is critical to ensure a smooth, compliant, and timely onboarding experience for Individual, Non-Individual, and NRI clients — covering KYC, account opening, agreement execution, and backend account activation.

Key Responsibilities

1. KYC & Compliance

• Manage KYC processes (MF KYC and CKYC) for Individual, Non-Individual, and NRI clients, through both online and offline modes

• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with SEBI/regulatory guidelines

• Track KYC status and resolve deficiencies/rejections in coordination with clients and internal teams

2. Agreement Execution

• Facilitate online onboarding through platforms such as CAMS, Karvy (KFin), or similar KRA/KYC platforms

• Coordinate Digital eSign processes for client agreements

• Manage offline agreement execution, including physical documentation, verification, and dispatch/collection

3. Account Opening Coordination

• Coordinate Demat and Trading account opening with the relevant internal/partner teams

• Facilitate Bank account opening and Net-banking access setup in coordination with the Banking Account Opening team

• Track and follow up on pending account opening requests to ensure timely closure

4. Backend Activation

• Ensure timely and accurate account activation in backend/portfolio management systems

• Validate client data mapping across systems (KYC, Demat, Bank, PMS backend) for consistency

• Liaise with IT/operations teams to resolve activation issues

5. MIS & Reporting

• Maintain and update onboarding trackers/MIS regularly





• Prepare status reports for management on pending, in-progress, and completed onboarding cases

• Highlight bottlenecks/TAT breaches and support process improvement initiatives

6. Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with Relationship Managers, Compliance, Banking Partners, and KRAs to ensure a seamless onboarding journey

• Act as a point of contact for onboarding-related queries from clients and internal stakeholders

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in onboarding/operations, preferably within PMS, Mutual Funds, Broking, or Wealth Management

• Solid working knowledge of KYC (MF & CKYC) processes for Individual, Non-Individual, and NRI clients

• Hands-on experience with online onboarding platforms (CAMS, Karvy/KFin, or similar) and Digital eSign process

• Familiarity with Demat, Trading, and Bank account opening processes, including Net-banking activation

• Experience with backend account activation systems within PMS/broking/wealth operations

• Proficiency in MIS and reporting tools (advanced Excel, etc)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation-heavy processes accurately

• Good communication and coordination skills to work across multiple internal and external teams

• Ability to manage TATs and work under regulatory/compliance timelines

• Knowledge of Wealth Spectrum Platform will be preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or a related field

• NISM certification(s) related to KYC/AML or Depository Operations (preferred, not mandatory)

• Prior experience specifically in PMS operations is a strong plus
