Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Teamcenter Administrator with 9+ years of enterprise PLM experience to manage, administer, and support complex Siemens Teamcenter environments across Development, Sandbox, QA, Test, UAT, and Production.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Teamcenter administration, installation, configuration, deployment, upgrades, patching, environment cloning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support. The candidate should have a strong understanding of Teamcenter 2-Tier and 4-Tier architecture, Multi-Site and Multi-Pool Manager environments, as well as core Teamcenter infrastructure components such as FMS, Pool Manager, Dispatcher, Active Workspace, T4S, TCRA, TCIF, SCC, and CAD integrations.

Strong experience with Linux administration, Oracle Database, IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, Teamcenter Deployment Center/TEM, networking, SSL, reverse proxy, and automation scripting is required.

The role involves close collaboration with global infrastructure, application, PLM, database, security, and business teams to maintain high availability, system performance, security, and operational stability.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeamcenter Administration

- Administer and maintain enterprise Siemens Teamcenter environments across:

- Sandbox

- Development

- Integration

- QA

- Test

- UAT

- Production

- Perform end-to-end Teamcenter installation, configuration, deployment, upgrades, patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

- Support Teamcenter 13.2 and later versions.

- Manage Teamcenter environment refresh, cloning, migration, and configuration activities.

- Perform Teamcenter service and session management.

- Monitor Teamcenter application health, availability, capacity, and performance.

- Support planned maintenance, releases, production deployments, and emergency fixes.

Teamcenter Architecture
- Strong understanding and administration experience of 2-Tier and 4-Tier Teamcenter architecture.

- Support distributed and enterprise Teamcenter architectures.

- Administer Multi-Pool Manager environments.

- Support Multi-Site Teamcenter environments.

- Manage activities related to replication, data ownership, site configuration, and environment synchronization.

- Troubleshoot issues across the Teamcenter application, middleware, database, operating system, and network layers.

Teamcenter Infrastructure Components

Hands-on experience with the following Teamcenter components is required:

- File Management System (FMS)

- FMS Remote Cache

- Pool Manager

- Multi-Pool Manager

- Dispatcher

- Active Workspace (AWC)

- T4S

- TCRA

- TCIF

- Teamcenter Services

Responsibilities include installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization of these components.

Active Workspace

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Active Workspace (AWC).

- Support AWC application connectivity and authentication.

- Troubleshoot AWC login, performance, indexing, service, and connectivity issues.

- Support HTTPS and SSL configuration for AWC environments.

- Coordinate with middleware and infrastructure teams for AWC availability.

Teamcenter Client / RAC / TCCS
- Administer and troubleshoot Teamcenter Rich Client (RAC) environments.

- Support TCCS configuration and troubleshooting.

- Troubleshoot Teamcenter client connectivity and session-related issues.

- Configure and troubleshoot HTTPS connectivity.

- Analyze Teamcenter logs and traces to identify application and infrastructure issues.

Deployment & Upgrade Management
- Perform Teamcenter deployments using Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM) and Deployment Center (DC).

- Plan and execute Teamcenter upgrades across enterprise environments.

- Perform pre-upgrade assessments and compatibility checks.

- Coordinate application, database, middleware, infrastructure, and integration activities during upgrades.

- Perform post-upgrade validation and health checks.

- Manage Teamcenter patching and hotfix implementation.

- Perform environment cloning and refresh activities.

- Maintain deployment documentation and implementation procedures.

- Support rollback and recovery activities when required.

Middleware Administration





Strong hands-on experience with enterprise middleware is required.

IBM WebSphere

- Install and configure IBM WebSphere environments.

- Configure Teamcenter application deployments on WebSphere.

- Monitor WebSphere application servers and JVM health.

- Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting.

- Analyze application/server logs.

- Troubleshoot connectivity, deployment, memory, and application issues.

Apache Tomcat
- Install, configure, and administer Apache Tomcat.

- Deploy and maintain Teamcenter-related applications/services.

- Monitor Tomcat performance and application health.

- Troubleshoot application startup, connectivity, memory, and deployment issues.

Apache Web Server / Reverse Proxy
- Configure and maintain Apache Web Server.

- Configure reverse proxy for Teamcenter/AWC applications.

- Support SSL/TLS configuration.

- Troubleshoot web-server connectivity and routing issues.

Oracle Database Administration
- Support and administer Oracle Database environments associated with Teamcenter.

- Perform database installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.

- Monitor database performance and availability.

- Troubleshoot Teamcenter database connectivity and performance issues.

- Perform database performance analysis and tuning.

- Support backup and restore activities.

- Monitor database capacity, sessions, locks, and resource utilization.

- Coordinate with DBA teams for complex database incidents.

- Support disaster recovery and database recovery activities.

Additional Database
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server monitoring and troubleshooting is desirable.

Linux Administration

Strong Linux administration experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities include:

- Linux server installation and configuration.

- Service and process management.

- System monitoring and health checks.

- CPU, memory, disk, and network performance monitoring.

- Filesystem and disk-space management.

- Log analysis.

- Performance tuning.

- OS-level troubleshooting.

- Application/service startup and shutdown.

- User and permission management.

- Troubleshooting Teamcenter issues at the operating-system level.

Experience with Shell scripting for automation and operational activities is required.

Windows Administration

- Working knowledge of Windows Server administration.

- Service monitoring and troubleshooting.

- Batch/PowerShell scripting.

- Windows-based Teamcenter environment maintenance.

Network & Security
- Troubleshoot Teamcenter infrastructure connectivity issues involving:

- SSL/TLS

- HTTPS

- DNS

- Load Balancers

- Reverse Proxies

- Firewalls

- Network routing

- Configure and troubleshoot SSL certificates.

- Support Teamcenter Single Sign-On (SSO).

- Experience with IDS and LOS is desirable.

- Work with security and network teams to resolve connectivity and authentication issues.

- Ensure Teamcenter environments comply with enterprise security standards.

Integration & CAD Support
- Support Teamcenter integration with enterprise applications.

- Experience with T4S (Teamcenter for SAP) is required.

- Support T4S configuration, services, mappings, and troubleshooting.

- Support CAD integrations with Teamcenter.

- Experience with NX or other major CAD integrations is desirable.

- Experience with Xpedition EDM installation and administration is highly desirable.

- Troubleshoot integration failures between Teamcenter and downstream/upstream applications.

Automation & DevOps
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using:

- Shell

- PowerShell

- Batch

- Automate routine Teamcenter administration and maintenance activities.

- Support deployment automation and release processes.

- Experience with Git and Jenkins.

- Participate in CI/CD activities related to enterprise application deployments.

- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation.

- Monitor Teamcenter application and infrastructure health.

- Provide L2/L3 production support for Teamcenter environments.

- Investigate and resolve critical production incidents.

- Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

- Analyze application, Teamcenter, middleware, database, OS, and network logs.

- Coordinate with multiple technical teams during major incidents.

- Ensure timely incident resolution while minimizing business impact.

- Participate in on-call and after-hours support when required.

- Maintain incident, problem, and change-management documentation.

- Follow ITIL-based incident, problem, and change processes where applicable.

Backup, Disaster Recovery & Maintenance
- Support Teamcenter backup and restore activities.

- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing.

- Support workplace recovery and restoration activities.

- Perform periodic maintenance and cleanup activities.

- Validate system availability following maintenance or recovery.

- Maintain operational procedures and recovery documentation.

Create and maintain:

The ideal candidate should be a Senior Teamcenter Infrastructure/Administrator rather than a Teamcenter developer or functional consultant.

Primary skill combination:

Teamcenter Administration + TC 13.2+ + 2/4 Tier + Multi-Site/Multi-Pool + FMS + Dispatcher + AWC + Deployment Center/TEM + Linux + Oracle + WebSphere + Tomcat + T4S

Candidates with strong Teamcenter customization/BMIDE but limited infrastructure, middleware, database, and production administration experience should not be considered the primary target.
