Role & responsibilities

- Operate and run gear cutting machines for machining, trials and customer requirements.
- Set up machines, tooling, fixtures and workpieces for gear cutting operations.
- Understand and operate CNC/control systems used in gear cutting machines.
- Conduct machine trials and verify machine performance before dispatch.
- Perform PDI activities including machine functionality, accuracy, operating parameters and basic quality checks.
- knowledge about calculation of cutting technology.

Preferred candidate profile

- Robust practical knowledge of gear cutting machine technology and operations.
- Hands-on experience operating CNC/gear cutting machines.
- Knowledge of gear manufacturing processes such as hobbing, shaping, skiving or related gear cutting processes will be an advantage.
- Understanding of cutting tools, work holding, fixtures and cutting parameters.
- Ability to perform machine setup, prove-out and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of gear terminology, gear geometry and machining requirements.
