Role & responsibilities

- Plan and execute manufacturing activities for FRP/GRP and composite components.
- Handle composite fabrication, lamination, moulding, trimming, grinding, and finishing operations.
- Perform and supervise Hand Lay-up, Vacuum Bagging, and Vacuum Infusion processes.
- Work with fiberglass, carbon fiber, resin systems, core materials, and other composite materials.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and work instructions.
- Ensure proper resin-to-fiber ratios, laminate sequence, curing, and bonding procedures.
- Monitor production activities and ensure products are manufactured according to required specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot composite defects such as voids, delamination, dry spots, air entrapment, resin-rich areas, and surface defects.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Quality, Stores, and other departments for smooth execution.




- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of composite components.
- Maintain production records, inspection reports, material consumption records, and other technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and production standards.
- Support continuous improvement and process optimization activities.
- Guide technicians and shop-floor personnel on correct composite manufacturing practices.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience in Marine, Shipbuilding, Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, or Industrial Composite Manufacturing will be preferred.
- Experience with FRP/GRP doors, hatches, panels, marine structures, or similar composite components is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of marine/defence quality standards will be an advantage.
