Key Responsibilities

Product Design

• Develop innovative product concepts based on market trends, customer

requirements, and brand guidelines.

• Prepare product sketches, technical drawings, specifications, and artwork.

• Create CAD designs, mock-ups, and presentation sheets.

• Select suitable materials, trims, colors, finishes, and packaging elements.

• Coordinate with the merchandising and procurement teams during product

development.

• Ensure all designs comply with quality standards and manufacturing feasibility.

Sample Coordination

• Coordinate with domestic and international vendors for sample development.

• Follow up on prototype, development, pre-production, and approval samples.

• Maintain sample development timelines and ensure timely deliveries.

• Track sample status and share regular updates with internal stakeholders.

• Arrange approvals from management and communicate modifications to vendors.

• Maintain proper documentation of all approved and rejected samples.

Vendor Coordination

• Liaise with factories, suppliers, and sourcing partners regarding product

specifications.

• Resolve design or technical issues during sample development.

• Coordinate costing discussions with vendors.

• Ensure vendors meet quality and delivery timelines.

Documentation & MIS

• Maintain sample registers and product development trackers.

• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), specification sheets, and product manuals.

• Archive approved designs and technical documents.

• Generate weekly and monthly progress reports.

Quality & Product Development





• Work closely with the QA team to ensure samples meet quality expectations.

• Suggest product improvements based on testing and customer feedback.

• Participate in product review meetings and presentations.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of product design principles.

• Experience in luggage, travel gear, lifestyle products, gifting, or consumer goods

preferred.

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and etc.

• Good understanding of materials, trims, fittings, and manufacturing processes.

• Excellent coordination and vendor management skills.

• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.

• Ability to handle multiple product development projects simultaneously.

• Good communication and negotiation skills.

• Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems is an advantage.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Product Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Accessories,

Leather Design, Mechanical Design, or a related field.

• Certification from NIFT or Graphic Design will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 36 years of experience in Product Design and Sample Development.

• Prior experience in luggage, travel accessories, consumer goods, gifting products, or

lifestyle products will be preferred.
