Role & responsibilities
• Lead HCM, Core HR, and Payroll workshops to confirm target-state business
processes and country/legal entity requirements for the separated organization.
• Assess source HCM configuration and define what should be migrated, rebuilt,
simplified, localized, or retired in the target instance.
• Define functional rules for legal employers, payroll statutory units, payroll
relationships, departments, jobs, grades, positions, locations, work schedules,
eligibility, assignments, and employment terms.
• Define payroll conversion rules for employee payroll data, balances, elements,
costing, tax details, payment methods, arrears, deductions, retro rules, and year-to-
date requirements.
• Validate HCM security model, data roles, abstract roles, line manager hierarchy,
areas of responsibility, and data access controls for the divested business.
• Approve HCM and payroll source-to-target mappings prepared by the data migration
specialist.
• Lead payroll parallel testing, HR process testing, system integration testing, user
acceptance testing, and defect triage.
• Coordinate dependencies with OTL, Projects, Finance, Procurement, identity
management, perks, third-party payroll/tax providers, banks, and reporting teams.
• Define cutover steps for HR data freeze, final payroll processing, time transfer,
balance extraction, employee communications, and post-load validation.
• Support hypercare for employee record issues, payroll calculation defects,
time/payroll transfers, security access issues, and regulatory reporting impacts.
Required skills and experience
• Strong functional expertise in Oracle Fusion HCM, Core HR, and Payroll.
• Understanding of workforce structures, person records, assignments, employment
models, payroll relationships, elements,
balances, costing, taxes, deductions, and
payment methods.
• Experience with HCM Cloud implementations, divestitures, carve-outs, or payroll
migrations.
• Ability to define conversion rules and validate HDL/HSDL migration outputs from a
business perspective.
• Strong knowledge of HCM security, roles, data access, manager hierarchy, and
privacy-sensitive employee data handling.
• Experience leading payroll parallel testing, reconciliation, statutory validation, and
post-go-live payroll support.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional dependencies with OTL, Projects, Finance,
integrations, reporting, and identity/access management.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, testing, and signoff skills.

• Target HCM and payroll configuration supports legal, operational, and payroll
processing requirements.
• Employee, assignment, payroll, and security data passes business validation.
• Payroll parallel results reconcile to approved thresholds before go-live.
• HR and payroll owners provide formal go-live readiness signoff.

Works closely with HCM Data Migration, Payroll SMEs, OTL Functional Leads,
Projects/OTL, Finance, Security, Identity Management, Reporting, Integration Developers,
and HR Operations.
