- Candidates with independent surgical oncology experience will be given preference
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Surgical Oncology OPD consultations and manage IPD patients
- Evaluate and manage patients with various benign and malignant tumors
- Perform oncological surgeries as per expertise and hospital privileges
- Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care
- Manage surgical oncology emergencies and post-operative complications
- Coordinate with Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, and Critical Care teams for multidisciplinary cancer management
- Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgery, prognosis, and follow-up
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, operative notes, and discharge summaries
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
Skills Required
- Robust clinical and surgical expertise in Surgical Oncology
- Excellent operative and clinical decision-making skills
- Good communication and patient counselling abilities
- Professional, ethical, and patient-centric approach
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary oncology team
