Role Summary Leads day-to-day technical configuration of Azure Purview — scanning, classification rules, glossary structure, and workflow configuration — and supervises Purview/UC Engineers. Key Responsibilities Configure and troubleshoot Purview scans against the Unity Catalog metastore Build and tune classification rules for banking-specific sensitive data types Configure business glossary structure, term templates, and approval workflows Set up data map collections aligned to the domain structure Review and QA engineer output before handoff to Data Stewards Support access-insight report configuration Required Qualifications 4 years data catalog/governance tooling experience, including 2 years hands-on Azure Purview Experience configuring scan rule sets, classification, and glossary workflows Familiarity with Azure RBAC and service-principal configuration Preferred Qualifications Experience specifically integrating Purview with Databricks Unity Catalog Banking or other regulated-industry classification experience Key Skills & Tools Azure Purview (Data Map, Classification, Glossary, Workflows), REST API, Microsoft Entra ID, PowerShell/Azure CLI
