Your mission

Responsible for carrying out welding and controlled heat correction activities on fabricated/assembled components as per approved drawings, WPS, work instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures. The role includes welding, dimensional correction, heating, temperature control, measurement, inspection, and maintaining process records.

Your profile

- Perform MIG/MAG, TIG and/or Arc welding as per approved WPS and work instructions.
- Prepare joints, fit-up, tack weld and complete welding as per drawing requirements.
- Perform heat correction/straightening of welded and fabricated components.
- Identify areas requiring heat correction based on dimensional inspection.
- Apply controlled heating using approved heating equipment and specified heating sequence.
- Monitor and control heating temperature using temperature crayons, temperature gauges, IR thermometer or approved instruments.
- Follow specified heating pattern, heating zone, sequence and cooling requirements.
- Check dimensions before, during and after heat correction.
- Ensure components are not overheated, burnt, distorted or damaged during correction.
- Carry out visual inspection of welds and identify welding defects.
- Maintain proper traceability of components, welders, heat-correction activities and inspection status.
- Complete welding and heat-correction inspection records/check sheets.




- Follow approved 5M requirements for welding and heat correction.
- Maintain welding machines, gas equipment, heating equipment and associated tools in good working condition.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe handling of cylinders, cables, hoses and heating equipment.
- Follow applicable PPE, safety and environmental requirements.
- Report abnormalities, dimensional deviations, welding defects and equipment problems to the supervisor/quality team.
