Role Description This is a full time, on-site Video Editor role based in Delhi, NY.

The Video

Editor will be responsible for editing video content for web and social media platforms, including interviews, farmer success stories, event coverage, and informational segments related to agriculture. Daily tasks include assembling raw footage, adding graphics, music, and subtitles, ensuring brand consistency, and preparing final versions optimized for various digital channels. The role involves close collaboration with content, marketing, and editorial teams to develop engaging visual narratives that align with Krishi Jagran’s mission.





The Video

Editor will also help maintain an organized media library, manage file formats, and adhere to deadlines for regular content publishing.

Qualifications

- Strong video editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Experience with motion graphics and basic animation tools (e.g., After Effects) for titles, lower thirds, and visual enhancements.
- Solid understanding of audio editing, sound mixing, and the use of royalty-free music and sound effects.
- Knowledge of video formats, compression, and exporting best practices for web, social media, and mobile viewing.
- Ability to plan and structure video stories, including scripting support, shot selection, and pacing for audience engagement.
- Familiarity with digital content and social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook) and their video requirements.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with editorial, marketing, and production teams.
- Interest or background in agriculture, rural development, or related domains is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Film, Media, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
