Role Description The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and producing engaging video content that aligns with Katha Ghar’s storytelling brand and visual identity. Day-to-day tasks include assembling raw footage, selecting sound and visuals, integrating motion graphics and graphics, and applying color grading to deliver high-quality videos for marketing, social media, and platform-related campaigns. The role also involves collaborating closely with writers, audio engineers,



and the creative team to translate audio stories into compelling visual narratives, maintaining consistency in style and pacing.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring regular coordination with the in-house team and participation in creative brainstorming sessions.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, with experience managing end-to-end post-production workflows.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency and enhance the cinematic feel of each project.
- Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics to support storytelling and brand communication.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects).
- Solid understanding of sound design, pacing, and visual storytelling, preferably in content, entertainment, or media sectors.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional creative teams.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, animation, design, or a related field; a portfolio or showreel showcasing previous work is required.
