Job Summary

Social Saga is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Video Editor Intern to join our Creative team for a 6-month paid internship. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of video editing and be familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, with a strong interest in creating engaging and visually appealing social media content.

This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on real client projects, learn from an experienced creative team, and develop your video editing and post-production skills in a professional agency environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in editing video content for social media, digital campaigns, advertisements, and brand projects.
- Work closely with the creative and content teams to understand briefs and execute video concepts.
- Create engaging edits using cuts, transitions, effects, text, music, and basic sound design.
- Assist with motion graphics, visual effects, colour correction, subtitles, and other post-production requirements.
- Edit and adapt content into different formats and aspect ratios for platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
- Assist the team in organizing and managing raw footage, project files, and creative assets.
- Make revisions based on feedback and ensure timely delivery of assigned projects.
- Stay updated with current social media trends, editing styles, transitions, and visual effects.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other members of the creative team.

Requirements:

- Basic knowledge of video editing and post-production.




- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Basic understanding of video editing fundamentals, pacing, transitions, and visual storytelling.
- Strong interest in social media content and digital trends.
- Creative mindset with positive attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and develop new skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
- Candidates with relevant academic, freelance, personal, or internship experience are welcome to apply.

Preferred qualifications:

- pursuing or recently completed a degree or course in film, media, design ,communication ,or a related field is an advantage.
- Prior internship, freelance, academic, or personal experience in video editing.
- Basic understanding of motion graphics and animation.
- Experience creating Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or other short-form content.
- Familiarity with current social media trends and content formats.

Portfolio/Showreel is preferred.
