Role Description: The Vessel Operator (drybulk), with minimum 2 years of experience, will oversee the end-to-end commercial and operational performance of assigned vessels, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective voyages. This full time, on-site role is based in Gurugram and involves daily coordination with charterers, owners, masters, bunker team and agents to perform the voyages efficiently.



This position also contributes to continuous process improvement, supports risk management, and collaborates closely with commercial and finance teams to enhance overall fleet efficiency.

Qualifications

- Manage end-to-end dry bulk vessel operations from fixture to voyage completion for 8-10 vessels
- Ensure alignment with Charter Party Agreement, maritime regulations, and operational risk management; respond promptly to events, handle laytime, demurrage/dispatch and claims
- Oversee voyage, scheduling port calls, cargo operations, bunkering and Vessel performance(speed & Consumption)
- Resolve operational issues and disputes to minimise commercial exposure
- Proficiency in using shipping and voyage management systems, IMOS, tracking tools, and standard office software(s).
- Effective communication and negotiation skills for interacting with masters, charterers, brokers, and service providers.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize voyage performance and control costs.
