Role Description The Videographer will be responsible for planning, shooting, and editing video content that covers local news, street food features, and other important city updates. Day-to-day tasks include visiting locations across Surat, capturing high-quality footage, recording interviews, and creating short-form and long-form videos suitable for digital and social media platforms. The role also involves collaborating with content creators and editors to develop concepts, maintain visual consistency, and meet publishing deadlines.

This is a full-time, in office role based in Surat,



requiring regular field work within the city and occasional evening or weekend assignments as news and events demand.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in video shooting, including camera operation, framing, lighting, and sound capture for on-location projects.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and basic motion graphics tools.
- Ability to plan shoots, storyboard content, and collaborate on creative concepts aligned with local news and lifestyle storytelling.
- Familiarity with digital and social media platforms, including vertical/video-first formats and audience engagement best practices.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in fast-moving, on-the-ground news environments.
- Comfort with on-site work across Surat City, including field reporting, interacting with local businesses, and public interview settings.
- Relevant education in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in news, documentary, or lifestyle videography is an advantage, especially in a local or regional media context.
