? Unity Game Developer – Remote Unpaid Volunteer / Internship

WorkshopEdge is an early-stage software startup focused on building cutting-edge digital products and game development projects. Our remote team works on creative and interactive experiences while providing aspiring professionals with real-world experience and opportunities to build their portfolios.

We are looking for a Unity Game Developer to join our game development team and work on our upcoming mobile game projects.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement gameplay systems and mechanics using Unity

Work with Unity C# and Unity's visual/gameplay systems

Implement character movement, combat, abilities, interactions, and game logic

Develop enemy AI, combat behaviors, and boss mechanics

Implement health, damage, stamina, abilities, and other gameplay systems

Integrate animations, effects, sounds, and other assets into gameplay

Work with Character, Animation, AI, Physics, and Gameplay systems

Debug and optimize gameplay features

Optimize games for mobile platforms

Work with game designers, 2D/3D artists, animators, and level designers

Polish and improve gameplay based on testing and team feedback

Requirements

Understanding of Unity





Understanding of C#

Understanding of basic game development concepts and gameplay programming

Familiarity with character controllers, collision, physics, and game logic

Basic understanding of object-oriented programming

Familiarity with Unity's GameObjects, Components, Prefabs, and Scenes

Basic understanding of Unity's animation and physics systems

Experience with Unity projects is a plus, but not mandatory

Personal projects, prototypes, or game development work are welcome

Beginners are encouraged to apply
