Role Description The Tool Room Manager (Forging Division) is a full-time, on-site role based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, responsible for managing the tool room operations supporting forging production. This role oversees the design, development, maintenance, and repair of forging dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

The Tool Room

Manager plans and prioritizes tool room activities, coordinates with production, quality, and maintenance teams, and ensures tools meet technical specifications and safety standards. Daily tasks include supervising tool room personnel,



monitoring inventory of tools and consumables, implementing preventive maintenance schedules, and driving continuous improvement in tool life and efficiency. The role also involves maintaining documentation, supporting new product development trials, adhering to quality and compliance requirements, and training team members on best practices and safe working procedures.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in tool design, die development, and maintenance for forging or similar heavy manufacturing environments.
- Experience supervising tool room operations, including workforce management, workload planning, and performance monitoring.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, using precision measuring instruments, and working with machining processes (e.g., CNC, grinding, EDM).
- Knowledge of forging processes, materials behavior, heat treatment, and tool life optimization.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, ISO/TS standards, and safety regulations in industrial settings.
- Solid problem-solving, analytical, and root cause analysis skills for tool failures and production issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with production, design, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing or 5S in the tool room.
