About the Role Virtusa is looking for a Technical Product Owner (TPO) to manage a high-visibility project, which includes a dedicated engineering team reporting directly to the Chief Architect and dotted line reporting to the Sr.

Director

MarTech (US). In this role, you will bridge technical strategy and operational execution—driving sprint planning, enforcing code quality, managing release pipelines, and leading technical support for our Sitecore CMS and enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate combines a strong background in modern full-stack development with proven agile project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Sprint Planning & Agile Execution: Own and prioritize the product backlog, author detailed technical user stories, translate architectural requirements into developer tasks, and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies.

Technical Requirements Planning And Documentation

Code Quality & Technical Governance: Partner with the Chief Architect to enforce coding standards, drive peer code reviews, monitor technical debt, ensure adherence to best practices across Sitecore and web builds, and manage daily technical operations for the development team by removing roadblocks and clarifying requirements.

Deployments & DevOps Oversight: Drive release management strategies and manage CI/CD deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins to ensure smooth, low-risk production deployments.

Technical Support & Operations: Serve as the primary point of escalation for post-deployment production support, leading issue triage, root cause analysis, and site reliability maintenance.





Manage daily technical operations for the development team, removing roadblocks, clarifying requirements, and ensuring on-time delivery of technical commitments.

Required Qualifications

Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

7+ years in web development and software delivery, with 3+ years acting as a Technical Product Owner, Tech Lead, or Agile Delivery Lead.

Technical Skills

Sitecore & Web Stack: Hands-on experience with Enterprise CMS (AdobeXP or Sitecore.AI), along with solid technical familiarity with C#/.NET, REST APIs, and contemporary front-end frameworks (React/Next.js).

Delivery & DevOps: Proven experience managing release cycles, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/Jenkins), and code quality tools (SonarQube).

Tools & Frameworks: Advanced proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.

Preferred Skills

Rapid prototyping leveraging AI tools and software (Gemini, Figma Make, etc.)

CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) or PSPO certification.

Official Sitecore Technical / Developer Certification or deep expertise in an enterprise-class CMS platform or DXP (AEM, Contentful, Sanity)

Deep understanding of Sitecore Helix architecture and headless/composable approaches.

Familiarity with Azure Cloud infrastructure, Docker containerization, and automated testing tools.

Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex)

Experience With Cloud-based Collaborative Development Environments

Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
